10 CROSBY DEREK LAM

Monday, February 10, 2014

A random collection of beautiful items haphazardly thrown on together.  I love it!

Elizabeth Giardina used lava pottery and modern artists in studio as inspiration.  She focused on developing texture with custom fabrications (needle punched cotton voile?!) and relaxed silhouettes that still maintained the integrity of the waist.

Whoa, that seems like a lot of things to consider!  Regardless, the result is pretty impressive:  Gorgeous separates that are sure to stay in your closet forever!  Plus, the 'What are you looking at?' attitude of the model makes me smile!

JENNI KAYNE

The the shoes, the gloves, the deep rich colors, the sharp lines…

Simple, sleek, and super chic!

Jenni Kayne shows us that you can be sexy without being obvious, and be feminine and strong at once.

Jenni Kayne launched her line in 2003, when she was just nineteen. She quickly established her signature look: a refined, subtle interpretation of classic American sportswear that draws on her California upbringing and uncomplicated design sensibility. “Super-chic, easy to wear clothes,” she says of her designs. “That’s what I do. Nothing tricky, nothing precious, just good clothes that work for you.”

Exactly!

LISA PERRY

Saturday, February 8, 2014

The dresses at Lisa Perry somehow feel flirty and sweet, but super modern and fashion forward at the same time.

Interesting silhouettes, innovative fabrics, and art inspired booties designed in collaboration with Manolo Blahnik.  Plus, I love the natural hair and makeup…so refreshing!

Watch the show for yourself here.

M MISSONI

Fearless with color and competent in pattern play, those Missoni gals sure know what they're doing!

Beyond gorgeous knits and wovens, of course, but maybe my favorite part…..the boots and bags!

WHIT

Thursday, February 6, 2014

Whoa, Whit does it again!

Whitney Pozgay called this her Scandinavian Woodland Collection and I am totally obsessed.  Bold patterns, interesting textures and fabric combinations, wearable silhouettes, and lots of layers!

Fresh faced donning lovely braided crowns, these gals are styled simply and thoughtfully.  It's nice to see that great fashion doesn't always have to be intimidating or complicated.
