JENNIS LI CHENG TIEN

Lately things have been a bit of a blur.

I'm not sure if it's the hours spent staring at runway pictures, or the stress of the upcoming moving day?  Regardless, I am in survival mode.  Anything that causes pause and prompts a smile…I'm thankful for it.

These distorted images by Jennis Li Cheng Tien brought me a moment of peace.  It's nice to not feel a need to bring things into focus.

‘Have A Nice Day’ is an ongoing project with a series of digitally distorted collages containing pictures sourced from the internet.

Check out some of her current work here.

ALL ROADS

I am currently compiling a list of things that I desperately want/need for our new house.  One of these gorgeous woven wall hangings is at the tippity top of my list.

I have been pinning wanted textiles here for years, but after stumbling across an old photo on one of my favorite blogs (here) I became mildly obsessed with All Roads.

All Roads is a creative workshop and textile studio in Los Angeles.  All Roads is a culmination of past experiences and a collective of skill sets.  Carpentry, welding, sewing and weaving are trades combined to solve design challenges and create objects and spaces.

BEN GILES

I am finally about to live in a house worthy of thoughtful decorating.

The first house we ever bought was yellow with a green roof, enough said.

The second house we purchased had truly incredible potential, but we couldn't afford to do much of anything.  The rooms and walls stayed mostly empty and the lavender countertops in the kitchen are still intact.

Our last two homes were rentals.  It has been fun to just throw stuff together and spend our time and money on other things like travel and live music.

For the first time, EVER, we are about to purchase a house that we truly care about, a house that we already have a zillion plans for, a house we will be working on for years to come.

Currently I am obsessing over thoughts of carefully selected, well placed art and photographs on our walls.  I would happily hang any of this charming collage work by Ben Giles!

SEBASTIAAN BREMER

We are currently in the mountains, celebrating the holiday as a family.

Time is spent cooking, eating, and drinking...with plenty of  playing, puzzling, and crafting with the girls.

Each day we venture out of the house for some fresh air and incredible views.

I thought these awesome images by Sebastiaan Bremer were the perfect thing to share considering.  Hope you enjoy!

Check out his latest work here.
