How does one describe a Flaming Lips show?
It is weird and wonderful, exciting and magical....... like going to the circus when you were little. You kind of know what to expect, but it is slightly different every time.
My first Lips show was in NYC in the late 90's, and I have seen them many times since. That makes me feel old and young at the same time.
I am a very different person then I was all those years ago, but the great thing about live music is that when you are in a crowd full of people and really listening to the words, it doesn't really matter. I was grabbing confetti out of the sky just like the young girl next to me........and I was happy!
