Sometimes it is nice to be reminded that simple things can be incredibly beautiful and satisfying. Not sure why.......but the lines and colors in his work make me very happy! Simplicity in design and art seem to provide a much needed sense of relief for me these days! It is comforting to know that not everything has to be so complicated!
Painter, sculptor, printmaker, and architect. Frank Stella has been known for helping to launch the Minimalism movement. Stella was an advocate of making non-representational paintings rather than artwork that alluded to underlying meaning, emotions or narratives. He wanted his audiences to appreciate color, shape and structure alone.
