EXHAUSTED

I am VERY tired!  Now that you have seen the above images, maybe you can understand why?

For a solid week we have been burning the candle at both ends, filling days and nights with music, friends and fun…fueling it all with caffeine.  It's a terrible cycle to slip in to!  I'm wondering how I used to do this with regularity?

This morning we woke to two sad little girls, puffy eyed with fever.  The party is officially over, and what a relief, I don't think I could have survived one more minute of fun.

MEGAN HUNTZ + PAPER CUT PROJECT

Thursday, April 10, 2014

Two of my favorite Atlanta talents teamed up last week for the Athens Fashion Council event.

Megan Huntz contributed a collection of the most gorgeous blue pieces, all one of a kind and The Paper Cut Project accessorized with their magical white paper creations.

Megan is an absolute master with color, I just can not get over this blue!  Shop the capsule collection and check out the rest of her shop here.

MY SHOW

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Well, its official.  I am a local artist......or so says this invitation anyway.

Saturday night there will be a small get together at the local coffee shop REV, where my collage work has been hanging for the month.

A few pieces have sold (thankfully) and overall I have been very happy with the level of interest.  If you live in the Atlanta area I would love for you to come by and tell me what you think.  Also, I plan to giveaway one of the larger pieces that night, as a thank you to all that attend.

Wish me luck and I promise to post some pictures of the event next week.

MEGAN HUNTZ

Made in Italy by an Atlanta girl?!

Megan Huntz dresses are limited edition, 100 percent hand washed silk party dresses.

The (incredible) process:  dress is designed and sewn, color washed by hand and numbered in the series.  Each piece is unique and exclusive.

Pretty dreamy, right?  I love garment dyed anything!

How incredible and gorgeous are these creations?  Paper and glue, can you believe that?

Amy Flurry and Nikki Nye, of Paper Cut Project are an Atlanta based duo.  They have no staff and sometimes work up to 80 hours a week to complete projects for the the likes of Jeffery, Hermes, Cartier, and Kate Spade.

Flurry and Salk's custom-made art installations are fueled by a love of fashion and an appreciation for the grace and nuance of this humble material.

I often hurt my head trying to hard to think of that 'One Great Idea', a creation all my own.  While I feel artistic at times, I always lose steam on projects quickly.

How do these people function in the real world and exist an abstract one simultaneously?  I greatly admire those that do so successfully. These intricate handmade masks and wigs are seriously inspiring!
