MARSHALL

 Where has the summer gone?

Here are the photographs from this years trip to Marshall.  We were excited to see the way that the land has changed now that Marshall Pottery is digging clay.

Who ever thought a hole in the ground could be so beautiful!

I have moved many times in my life, lived in many houses in many towns.  There is one place that has been constant, a comfort.

As a young child I traveled to Marshall to spend summers and holidays.  It was something that I looked forward to greatly!  The peace and quiet, the long warm days playing in the fields.......it was magical to me.

Now I get to see the excitement in my daughter's eyes.  It is amazing!

While we were in New Orleans, Carson was in Marshall making her very own memories.  I so thankful!

Past Marshal shots here and here.

House Special: The Mater Sammy

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Step One: cut the crusts off your WHITE bread.

Step Two: lather with REAL full fat mayo.

Step Three: salt LIBERALLY.

Step Four: EAT!

Step Five: wash down with a glass of COLD milk.

If you have been out to the Lawless Ranch during the summer, you have had a mater sandwich.....or five. They are AMAZING!

Sadly it is not possible to replicate this dish. It absolutely must be my fathers tomatoes, nothing else tastes the same. (sorry Ness)

Enjoy.

images: photos styled by Mr. Sam Lawless, well done dad!

Homegrown

By far the best food I have ever had, has come out of this garden.

I'm not sure what it is.................but dads homegrown goodness just tastes different.
